Twisted Metal The Series on Peacock

This is going to be a spoiler filled discussion of the new Twisted Metal television series that just dropped on Peacock.  I don’t really know who the audience of readers for this will be. Whether it’s Twisted Metal fans from the various forums or groups I’m in, or if it will be one of the many friends and acquaintances I’ve managed to make over the years. Regardless, I’m happy you stopped by.  I have been a Twisted Metal fan since I was in grade school. I have loved this franchise…

2/27/23 Life Update

This blog post isn’t going to be on any topic in particular, but rather a life update and public diary.  I have officially been at my developer job for over one year, and received the largest first-year raise they have ever given any employee. We both knew I came in under paid, but we knew I had to prove myself in the position before demanding anything more. Welp, I knocked it out of the park, with a glowing review, and a fantastic 10k raise.  I should feel so proud of…

I Want It Painted Black

I haven’t posted anything since July, and I was really in the mood to write about a gaming topic I’ve had on my mind for a bit.  Life has been alright. In terms of where I was last year, I am so happy. I am truly in a place where I can build from. I bought a newer used car finally, I’ve been working my ass off in all facets of my life, and I’ve been trying my best to navigate this current hellscape haha.  I get banned or suspended…

As Beautiful as You Ever Were

I felt compelled to write again before bed with the intention of going until I am done, and ready to publish this.  I haven’t uploaded any sort of blog in months, because quite frankly, my life has been going so much better lately. No, it is not sunshine and kittens, but it is a hell of a lot better than where I was last year. Last July feels like an eternity ago. I feel like a different person after starting my new job, and I’ve had money to spend on…

Stronger, Faster, More Alive

It’s January 3rd, 2022, and I can barely wrap my brain around the terrifying notion that time keeps on slipping into the future. The vastness of time and space is too incomprehensible for most, but if people could just try and think about it for a few moments, then maybe the problems of the world would sort themselves out just a little easier.  Oh yeah, this writeup is going to be a total buck-shot of random thoughts I unload from my head, but I promise you that this will actually…

Starsky & Hutch: A Smart Show For Simpler Times

I’ve had a string of better luck lately working my butt off, and in the background I have been binge watching a little 70s icon, called Starsky and Hutch.  Anyone reading this knows I am a 70s car nut, and Starsky and Hutch has the definitive 70s muscle car, the iconic 2B Bright Red Gran Torino with a black outlined white vector stripe, and a set of Ansen Sprint aluminum slotted mag wheels.  The car is what initially drew me in, and is what a lot of people remember from…

Cruis’n Blast: A Love Letter to Days Gone By

It’s mid September, spooky season is quickly approaching, I’ve started grad classes, and the weight of the world is on my shoulders.  However, a light shines through the thick cloud, and its essence is Cruis’n.  The Cruis’n franchise is a classic 90’s arcade series of racing games that all had ports to the N64 console.  I have some beautiful memories of Cruis’n World, both at my local Chuck-E-Cheese arcade, and my great aunt’s house. It was a time of innocence, and the foundation of my core creative being. I didn’t…

Nautical Surge Dev Log 1

This post is a dedicated dev log to a project I have decided to see to the finish. Nautical Surge is an arcade boat racing title I intend to put together from prototype to fully functional product, targeting Steam and GOG. I was developing this in Unity years ago in my off time, and shelved the project due to time constraints and my own development issues I hit.  This year, after concluding I would quit my dead-end maintenance job, and go to grad school full-time, I wanted to complement that…

Caught Somewhere In Time

It’s midway through 2021 already, and I wrote this while collapsed in my bed after a week of working my ass off at my dead-end maintenance job. This is a personal blog, and does not have any particular topic or subject I will be focusing on. I’m physically exhausted, but my brain is screaming to output something, so I figured writing would be a great solution.  I have decided to sign up for grad school full-time, after the recent revelation that my private student loans go into deferment if I…

Twisted Metal 4: The “Jason Goes To Hell” of the Franchise

Twisted Metal 4: The “Jason Goes To Hell” of the Franchise Writing is such an awesome creative outlet sometimes, because it is genuinely one of the laziest. You can just record your thoughts with little disregard to a grand overarching plan sometimes. Some neurons firing off in my brain make me perform actions I may not even have control over. Perhaps I am merely the echo of 24 years of an outside environment with no free will. Those existential thoughts can leave you scratching your head at the most unknown…
